Total GRDP of Hung Yen province increases by 8.71%
On April 14, the Provincial People’s Committee held a meeting to assess the situation of socio-economic development in the first quarter, consider and give comments on some contents. Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee chaired the meeting. The meeting saw the attendance of members of the Provincial Standing Party Committee.
According to the draft report in the first quarter: The GRDP value of the province increased by 8.71% compared to the same period in 2018; State budget revenue is estimated at over VND 3 trillion, up 22.9% compared to the plan.
In the first quarter, the province received 30 new projects, including 23 domestic projects with the registered capital of over VND 3.1 trillion and 7 foreign projects with the registered capital of USD 40 million. The province has 310 newly established enterprises, bringing the total number of existing enterprises to over 10.1 thousand registered enterprises. Social security is paid attention. Culture, health, education and training have seen continuous growth.
At the meeting, the delegates reviewed and gave comments on the contents of the drafts: Plan to implement Resolution No. 02 / NQ-CP dated Jan. 01, 2019 about continuing to perform major tasks and solutions to improve the business environment and national competitiveness in 2019 and orientations to 2021; Report on preliminary review of 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 33-NQ / TW dated June 9, 2014 of the Central Party Committee (XI) on construction and development of Vietnamese culture and people to meet requirements on the country’s sustainable development; Regulation of coordination between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Provincial People’s Committee in directing the Market Management Department of Hung Yen Province to implement the market management work in the province.
Making the conclusion remarks at the meeting, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phong asked that regarding the tasks of socio-economic development in the coming time, departments, branches and localities closely observe the situation in the country and the world in order to come up with solutions to implement the province’s socio-economic criteria flexibly, creatively and synchronously.
Branches and localities continue to strengthen measures to prevent and control African swine fever; effectively implement the Plan No. 93a / KH-UBND dated March 31, 2017 of the Provincial People’s Committee on clearance of illegal construction works on agricultural land which violates the protection corridor of traffic and irrigation works and operation of illegal dock activity and sand exploitation; effectively implement trade promotion and market seeking, encourage businesses and entrepreneurs to invest in agriculture; solve urgent environmental problems, especially pollution in rural environment and craft village environment; continue to promote investment and business development; focus on solving difficulties for production and business and support the development of consumption market; effectively implement the Investment Law; urge businesses to boost investment to put the project into operation as soon as possible and create budget revenue of the province; strengthen the inspection and control of transportation and sale of food with unknown origin; simultaneously deploy management measures of budget revenue and expenditure as well as solutions to prevent budget revenue loss, strive to complete the provincial budget revenue plan in 2019.
Localities promote the auction of land use rights to create capital for building new-style rural areas and contribute to the state budget; actively accelerate the implementation and disbursement of public investment projects in 2019; promptly remove difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing projects, especially the ground clearance of major projects; step by step improve the infrastructure system, and promote local socio-economic development.
The province restricts the admission of individual industrial production projects outside industrial parks and industrial clusters; refuse to accept projects that are at risk of causing environmental pollution; coordinate to control, handle and minimize pollution of Bac Hung Hai river and improve the environment quality in canals, ditches, ponds and lakes in the province.
Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee emphasized that it is necessary to preserve and promote the cultural and tourism values of the province; pay attention to improve the quality of education; well prepare the conditions for national high school exam and university enrollment in 2019; promote the movement of the entire population to protect national security, ensure political security, social order and safety, traffic safety in the province.
