Special National Site of Thai Lac Pagoda

On December 24, 2008, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 1820 / QD-TTg to recognize 11 monuments across the country as the special national sites in 2018, including Thai Lac pagoda in Lac Hong commune, Van Lam district, Hung Yen province.
 
Hung Yen online newspaper presents you some pictures of unique architecture of Thai Lac pagoda.

Thai Lac pagoda was built in Tran Dynasty and has been repaired many times.  In addition to worshiping the Buddha, the pagoda also worships Wind Dharma; so it’s called Wind Dharma pagoda.

The internal shape of of Thai Lac pagoda looks like Chinese character “công” 工 and external shape looks like character “quốc” 国, including 5 front rooms, 3 upper rooms, 2 rows of corridors with 9 rooms on each side and a seven-room ancestor worshiping house.

In 1964, Thai Lac pagoda was recognized as the especially important architectural art monument by the Ministry of Culture and Information.
