As of April 1, Hung Yen suspends regular vaccination in 15 days
In order to implement urgent measures to prevent and control COVID-19, on April 6, the Department of Health issued a Official Letter to suspend regular vaccination for 15 days in the context of Covid-19.
Accordingly, the Department of Health requires expanded immunization facilities to stop regular vaccination sessions at health center and stations of communes, wards and towns within 15 days from April 1, 2020 (except for the hepatitis B vaccination of newborns).
Temporarily suspend vaccination at immunization service establishments within 15 days from April 1, 2020. However, vaccination must still be arranged in the following cases: Rabies vaccines, rabies prevention and control serum and tetanus. The vaccination process must be safe and Covid-19 prevention and control measures must be applied according to regulations.
The Department of Health assigns the Provincial Center for Disease Control to closely follow the guidance of the Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology in order to develop plans and direct immunization vaccination facilities to fully give compensatory vaccination to people, ensure immunization safety and apply measures of Covid-19 prevention and control.
