Implementing the Notice No. 104/TB-UBND dated April 2, 2020 on the conclusion of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Official Letter No. 1960/TCDBVN-VT dated April 1, 2020 of the Directorate for Roads of Vietnam on temporarily suspending the validity of some types of badges and signboards of automobile transport business, the Department of Transport would like to notify relevant agencies and automobile transport business agencies of temporary suspension of some types of badges and signboards for certain types of vehicles such as:  Fixed-route cars, buses, taxis, contractual cars certified by Hung Yen Department of Transport.  The suspension time is from 0:00 of April 1 until the end of April 15, 2020. 

In case the above vehicles engage in passenger transportation (except for special cases for vehicles not carrying passengers, providing food, foodstuffs and supplies; shuttle buses for workers and enterprise experts, vehicles transporting production materials) during the above period shall not be considered as having badges or signboards and will be strictly handled for violations as prescribed in Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP dated December 30, 2019 of the Government on administrative sanctions for road traffic and rail transport violations.

Department of Transport requested the provincial Public Security to direct the police of social order, traffic police and Public security of districts, towns and cities to strengthen inspection and sanction cases temporarily running out of validity on badges and signboards during the period from April 1 to April 15, 2020; assigned the Inspectorate of the Department of Transport to coordinate with the functional forces in setting up inspection posts and carrying out inspections to ensure that buses, taxis, technological vehicles, inter-provincial buses and motorbike taxi are not allowed in the province.
