Conference to promote the destination and stimulate domestic tourism in Hung Yen province
On November 6, in Hung Yen city, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the conference to promote the destination and stimulate domestic tourism in 2020. The conference saw the attendance of: Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Head of Provincial Steering Committee for Tourism Development; Mr. Doan Van Hoa, Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Chairman of Provincial Tourism Association; heads of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; Directors of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Tourism Promotion center of cities and provinces in the Red River Delta; travel agencies and representatives of press and media agencies.

Known as the land full of potentials to develop spiritual tourism and eco-tourism combined with relaxation; however, the development of provincial tourism is not proportionate to its potentials. The number of tourists to our province is few and revenue from tourism is not high. In 2019, the number of tourists to our province was estimated at 1 million; the revenue was estimated at VND 220 billion. At the conference, besides the achieved results, delegates suggested some limitations of Hung Yen tourism such as: inadequate and poor tourism infrastructures and facilities; no featured tourism products; unprofessional tourism personnel; uninteresting tourism dissemination and promotion; provincial tourism disconnected with other cities and provinces in the region to create tours and tourism routes outside the province.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee, Head of Provincial Steering Committee of Tourism Development acknowledged the feedbacks of delegates on Hung Yen tourism. He also asked Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to consult the provincial people’s committee to issue new mechanisms and policies to attract investors in order to wake up the tourism potentials of the province and to pay attention on training of tourism personnel. At the same time, he would like enterprises and tourism agencies in the country to offer solutions so that Hung Yen tourism would grow in the coming time.
The representative of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched the program for tourism stimulation in Hung Yen province in 2020. This department committed to support some travel agencies throughout the country in information provision and tourism service development.Previously, on November 5, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism cooperated with Vietnam National Administration of Tourism to examine some places in the province such as Da Trach temple, Trieu Viet Vuong temple, Da Hoa temple, Tran temple, Mau temple, May temple under Pho Hien national special relic site, visited orange growing model under Vietgap standard in Lam Son ward (Hung Yen province) and experienced eco-tourism model in Dong Tao chicken farm (Khoai Chau district)
