On April 10, the Provincial People's Committee and Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control (Provincial Steering Committee) held a video conference with the steering committees of districts, town, city, communes, wards and townlets in the province. It saw the attendance of: Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee. The conference also saw the attendance of members of the Provincial Standing Party Committee, Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the provincial delegation of National Assembly and members of the Provincial Steering Committee.

 

 
According to the report of the Provincial Steering Committee, by 17:00 on April 9, 100% of communes, wards and townlets in the province have established disease control teams and 100% of villages and quarters set up disease prevention and control teams. The control teams and the prevention and control teams have implemented the task of checking and listing of cases returning from epidemic areas; seriously controlling people going in and out of villages and quarters. Up to now, the Department of Health has completed the assigned norms of preparation of hospital beds for treatment of SARS-CoV-2-positive cases and quarantine beds; coordinated with the Department of Finance in checking and listing supplies, chemicals, medical equipment to submit to competent authorities for procurement  to fight the epidemic; commissioning of SARS-CoV-2 testing machines; set up 2 temporary medical examination and treatment places in quarantined localities due to the presence of COVID-19. 

Speaking at the conference, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duy Hung requested the Party Committees, authorities, the COVID -19 prevention and control steering committee at all levels continue to strictly implement the Central’s directives, Provincial Party Standing Committee, Provincial People's Committee and Provincial Steering Committee. In particular, the checking and immediate quarantine of suspected cases, those returning from epidemic areas is an effective measure to classify and supervise medical cases at risk of disease ...

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phong emphasized that up to now, in addition to the positive case of SARS-CoV-2 in Tan Quang commune (Van Lam district), Hung Yen has not detected any more cases of the disease. The Steering Committee of COVID-19  prevention and control at all levels, committees, departments, branches and mass organizations in the province  have actively implemented measures to cope with the epidemic disease.  However, in recent days, Hung Yen has embryonic signs of negligence and subjectivity, some people has not been strictly observed and has not strictly complied with the Prime Minister's Directive 16 on social isolation, some people have not worn face masks in public places. In order to well carry out the COVID-19 prevention and control, the Chairman requested cadres, leaders, party members and people of all strata to unite by common consent, join hands and contribute with their practical actions, strictly implement social isolation, social distancing, do not go out if there is no real work needed; quickly and promptly check cases of close contact with infected people, suspected people… for early detection and prevent epidemics from spreading in the community.  Disease prevention and control teams of villages and street quarters need to fulfill their tasks with the motto "Go into every alley, knock on every door” to check and propose medical declaration. The health sector has to full prepare machines, equipment and medical supplies; developed scenarios and plans according to the latest guidance of the Ministry of Health; The Provincial Center for Disease Control shall effectively use the testing machine systems to test all suspected cases ...
