* On the occasion of the Great Buddha's Birthday, Buddhist calendar 2564, on May 7, 2020, the Steering Committee for Religious Affairs of the province paid a visit and presented gifts to Buddhist dignitaries in the province.  The visit to Most Venerable Thich Thanh Hien, Head of the Patronage Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha  of the province, Abbot of Pho Pagoda and Most Venerable Thich Thanh Khue, Deputy Head of Patronage Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha  of the province, the abbot of the Bell pagoda (Hung Yen city) saw the attendance of Mrs. Pham Thi Tuyen, Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee for Mass Mobilization, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
 

Due to the influence of the Covid-19 epidemic, religious institutions and Buddhist dignitaries strictly abide by the regulations of the Party, State and direction of the Patronage Council of Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha Central Committee and urge monks, nuns and Buddhists not to gather in crowded places. 

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, and the People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Mrs. Pham Thi Tuyen wished the the Patronage Council of Viet Nam Buddhist Sangha Committee of the province and all monks, nuns and Buddhists a happy Buddha's birthday anniversary; and asked them: to promote solidarity spirit and comply with guidelines and policies of the Party and the State on religion; accompany with the nation and the local authorities to well fulfill the objectives and tasks of socio-economic development and country defense; actively participate in and organize social charity activities.  

* In the afternoon of the same day, Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Religious Affairs visited and presented gifts to Most Venerable Thich Thanh Quang, Standing Deputy Chairman of the Patronage Council of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha committee of Hung Yen province, abbot of Tien Quan pagoda in Pham Ngu Lao commune (Kim Dong district).
 
 

At Tien Quan Pagoda, Deputy Chairman Nguyen Duy Hung wished Venerable Thich Thanh Quang good health; wished monks, nuns, and Buddhists at Tien Quan Pagoda for a happy and peaceful Buddha's birthday anniversary and to achieve a lot of achievements in Buddhist activities. At the same time, he asked Venerable Thich Thanh Quang to encourage Buddhists of Tien Quan Pagoda and the local people to abide by the guidelines and policies of Party, the  policies and laws of State in order to build a solid national solidarity block and develop the local economy.

Afterwards, the delegation of the Provincial Steering Committee for Religious Affairs visited and gave presents to Nun Thich Dam Nga, Deputy Head of the the Patronage Council of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Committee of the province, abbot of Long Dang Pagoda, Phung Chi Kien ward, My Hao town; Venerable Thich Thanh Nguyen, Standing Member of the Patronage Council of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Committee of the province, Head of the Van Lam Buddhist Sangha Committee, abbot of Phap Dien Pagoda in Lac Hong Commune (Van Lam district).
