Vietnam end 2019 as the Southeast Asian No 1 team, following the latest rankings released by FIFA.

According to the December 2019 rankings released by FIFA, Vietnam has 1,285 points and maintains 94th position in the world, 14th in Asia.

With this position, Vietnam outdistances Thailand (ranked 113 in the world) by 19 places, and continues to hold the No. 1 position in Southeast Asia.

To get this position, the Vietnam team of coach Park Hang-seo spent 2019 with success in King's Cup and 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification.

By the end of 2019, the Asian top 3 also had a swap compared to 2018 when Japan (ranked 28th in the world) surpassed Iran (ranked 33) to rise to the top, while South Korea (ranked 40) climbed up to 3rd place.

At the top of the world rankings, the Belgium closes in 2019 at No. 1 position with 1,765 points.  This is the second consecutive year that the Belgium ranked first by the end of the year.

France (1,733 points), Brazil (1,721 points), England (1,661 points), Uruguay (1,645 points) are respectively ranked. ... /.
