Vietnam end 2019 as the Southeast Asian No 1 team, following the latest rankings released by FIFA.

According to the December 2019 rankings released by FIFA, Vietnam has 1,285 points and maintains 94th position in the world, 14th in Asia.
With this position, Vietnam outdistances Thailand (ranked 113 in the world) by 19 places, and continues to hold the No. 1 position in Southeast Asia.
To get this position, the Vietnam team of coach Park Hang-seo spent 2019 with success in King's Cup and 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification.
